South Asians in Uganda: A Journey Through History, Culture, and Resilience 2024
#rethinkdesi In August 1972, Uganda’s President Idi Amin ordered the country’s entire Asian population to leave within 90 days, reportedly after a ‘divine’ message. He accused them of sabotaging Uganda’s economy, calling them ‘economic bloodsuckers.’
