I actually see the train/traveling cut for an extented amount of time (for a transition that is, which is around 5-10s) quite often because of the FPS unlocker mod I use, it is really fun when something small happened in those loading screen.

I'm pretty sure early on in the game the loading screens that are subway transactions sometimes you'll see actual characters like Ann and ryuji just blending in with the crowd
