Medical care is quite bad unless you pay and go to private clinic which many have no choice but do in case of anything serious. Otherwise you'll wait months or even years for the "free service". My allergy testing took 2 years in the public hospital to get called for!! I never waited though and went to the private clinic asap - probably saved my life as well (not a joke!).

Agreed 100% Chiu Yen Tan!
I personally think Canadian surgeons/specialists should be required to rotate and work ONE THIRD of their year for the Public (FREE) System, seeing a set amount of patients who will have procedures for "free" and paid with tax revenue...
Canada should then allow these surgeons/specialists to work the remaining TWO THIRDS of the year privately for as much profit as they want under an insured/private system.
This would attract MANY more surgeons/specialists to Canada and would take the pressure off the public system!
Thank goodness you didn't do this Short in a Hot Nurse Costume!⛑️ 🔥
I would have had to use the flailing Canadian Healthcare System!

Here's a rewritten version:
In Canada, I never had access to a private hospital room – or any room for that matter. I was consistently placed on a gurney in the hallway, which was ridiculous. Moreover, I had to pay extra coverage through my employer, totaling around $2k+. Even basic services like dental and chiropractic care came with additional costs. However, since moving to the UK, I now enjoy free access to private rooms regularly. Appointments are prompt, and the NHS offers affordable dental care, i.e. £18 for a clean and scale., Plus, I have regular access to a GP. If/when required.
