Personal opinion, Thassas Oracle, it's the staple for almost all decks in cEDH and it can lead to a turn 1,2, or 3 win for any deck with it in it

I never get where the whole idea of banning sol ring came from. It is a card accessible to everyone playing at all level, not like its a super expensive and limited card anyway.

Commander is a singleton format AND predominantly multiplayer. You have 3 threats to asses and deal with at once, so accessible ramp for everyone is healthy for the gameplay.

Sol ring being included in 99% of decks is an excellent reason to remove it. It adds nothig to the game and basically turns commander into a more luck based game.

I wouldn't ban any cards. In fact, in my ideal Commander world, the ban list would be extremely small.

Ok, Karakas is bad but there has been so many times when I wanted to just throw it in a deck anyway lol. I would never use it to bounce other people’s stuff. I just wanted to throw it into my Yoshimaru deck for example

Instead of banning Sol Ring, just do what Olivia Gobert-Hicks started doing and replace Sol Ring with Sol Talisman, or as AliasV calls it: Sol Ring but later. As Olivia stated during the recent Elder Dragon Hijinks livestream, “people shake their heads and they’re like wtf you’re playing this for and I’m like exactly, because now you’re not complaining about Sol Ring, you’re instead doing ‘why do you need this in three turns?’ The question is ‘I don’t know.’”
