Dr. Broome: In my career, I've done surgeries at a variety of different hospitals big and small and academic centers. I've got to say hands down South Texas Spine and Surgical Hospital has been one of the most enjoyable places for me to work. This is truly an orthopedic specialty facility. I mean, we do spine surgeries, we do hip and knee replacement surgeries here. But because we do so many of them, the specialized care is top notch. The surgery techs, the nurses, the admission staff, the therapist, the chef's, the whole experience is out of this world amazing. But we're all on the same page because that's all we do. The most gratifying thing for me is to do the surgeries and then go see the patients afterwards. And they're just ecstatic. All they can do is compliment not only how they're they're happy with how well they feel, but they want to shower the praise on the facility and the staff and how they're being treated. That goes a long way and that makes go into work fun.
