Fun fact: up to the 1940s, pink was mostly worn by men and blue by women. The reason for this is because pink was associated with dominance and masculinity whilst blue was associated with femininity and gentleness! Adults wore more strong colours while the children wore softer colours. Babies usually wore white, but toddlers wore soft colours! For example, a grown man would wear more of a magenta or dark pink and women wore a deep blue, and toddler boys wore light/pastel pink and toddler girls wore light/pastel blue! :))

Fun fact: In the olden days blue used to be for girls because it was seen as more dainty, while pink was used for boys as it was seen as the stronger colour! However it changed around the 1950s due to big advertising campaigns that pushed the colour pink as a feminine colour exclusively for girls. 👍

Colors don't belong to any gender.
I remember I was in 1st grade and I found out that I didn't really like purple anymore and I liked blue. We had to have this discussion in my group because it was the start of the year and we had to introduce ourselves, and I said my favorite color was blue- And a boy had the AUDACITY to say "Blue isn't for girls! Its only for boys"
And then I said "No its not." Because when I was a little girl, I didn't really have the anger issues I have now. And then he goes on saying "Yes it is. The color for girls are only purple and pink and the colors for boys are red, orange, yellow, blue, green, and brown." LIKE BOY HAD THE WHOLE AUDACITY TO SAY THAT GIRL COLORS ARE ONLY 2 COLORS!?
I'm thankful now that there is little people like that now.

It’s so annoying how a lot of people think genders have specific colors they need to like. Like the other day I went to my friends house wearing a blue shirt and green shorts, and when I said hi to her dad he asked me why I was wearing this. I just stood there cause I didn’t know what to say. So when I left for dinner he told me I should wear girly clothes, I asked him what he means by that and he said he meant like purple and pink stuff, I told him that I like this shirt a lot and it’s my favorite, he gave me the weirdest look. And since then when I go there I only where clothes that aren’t pink and purple just to get on his nerves because I will wear what I want!😂😂

Funnily enough, pink used to be seen as a strong, bold color and blue was viewed as a soft and delicate color, so boys used to be associated with pink and girls used to be associated with blue.
(Also, I've long since stepped away from the religion I was raised with, but the virgin Mary is always wearing blue in artwork, not pink.)

Most of my relatives dont have the word "tomboy" in their directory, if a girl has anything blue or "male-colored" they would say "(Name) is a boy! And acts like one." And my favorite colors are Yellow, Brown, and Blue soo stereotypes really suck for me 😢
