Traveled from my home in Hawaii to Switzerland when I was 18, and I went to the Jungfrau and spent about 10 days there. Went on the small cog trains from Interlaken up into those Alps and I was blessed with complete bluebird skies and no wind after it snowed all night a fresh 2 feet of powder! It was so awesome and beautiful, and in January so we were skiing and sightseeing. I have to say that area in the Swiss alps is one of the "7 wonders of the world"!!!!! Magnificent!!!!! This was back in 1980. I spent 3 months traveling in Switzerland, Austria and Italy! My friend lived up in Verbie Switzerland and had a ski shop called "Mountain Air" and I've never seen it snow so much in my life as it did up there! It buried the chalets completely and I was skiing 5-6 feet òf powder!!! One of the best experiences of my life!!!!!
