Okay those of you who know explosives and metallurgy, explain something to me? After the hit there are all those sparks flying around. Sometimes those Sparks suddenly explode like a starburst, like fireworks. What causes that?

I know its in slow motion, but this doesn't look right to me. To me it looks staged with explosives - Especially at 0:00 & 0:12 onwards. What are those small light coloured areas the 'hit' seems to eminate from?
I've lost count of how many APDS & APFSDS I've personnaly fired at hard targets, - This is not what I have witnessed.
