I have the opposite problem, my eso sphincter won't stay closed so if I eat too much I start regurgitating it along with a bunch of stomach acid. It happens in my sleep sometimes and I end up inhaling stomach acid and having to cough it all out. It usually sets off my gag reflex and I end up puking too.

When I was 11 I had an MS Attack but nobody suspected in 1962. After eating lunch 40 min later so would get woozy from stomach cramps because the lower stomach valve would not easily open. Since I was collapsing at my desk and school asked Mom to take me to see a Dr. We had a terrific clinic that always seemed to have one Dr that graduated last in his class. So after poking my stomach and listening to stomach sounds when it wasn't cramping. So Dr Almostfailed told my mother I just didn't want to go to School. I stopped eating anything but a carton of milk for lunch. I cannot eat mornings until I am awake a few hours so with skipping lunch I was doing pulsed fasting ages ago.

I've had the balloon stretch done. It was "sore" for a day, but had been so relieving since.

I have become all too familiar with the anatomy of my digestive system! Back in 2012, I had my third surgery to correct a hiatal hernia. This last time, my surgeon came in nearly every day for 26 days, saying, "If we don't get that thing (my stomach) working soon, we may have to cut it out." That was because my stomach had wrapped itself so tightly around my esophagus that it was strangling itself.

You have NO IDEA how happy he was when he came into my room one morning and my wife reported that I'd farted earlier.

This happened to my oldest son, back in 1992. He spent 3 months in Texas Children's hospital, where they never did manage to diagnose it. We just knew that he hold down anything, not even water. Finally we moved him to UNM, where he was diagnosed. The doctor there did a modified Gavrilu to correct it.

I have Achalasia, it is a rare condition so it's nice to see a video about it thanks! I had a Heller myotomy with fundoplication in 2016 and it really helped, before then it got to the stage where I couldn't even get down liquids and I lost alot of weight. It also comes with really painful oesphageal cramps as the nerves malfunction that radiate through my back, chest and ribs. Every now and then I still struggle to eat certain foods like rice and bread especially if I am stressed or rushing but overall I am back to pretty much normal. It is a progressive condition and I have Endoscopies every few years for life but after the operation to cut open my lower oesophageal sphincter things have become so much better and I havent looked back. So far so good. I never had the balloon dilation, glad using a whale bone isn't still a treatment!

Oddly enough, jeffree Star's video about him struggling with this issue was the earliest video I found that really got traction about this in an educational manner.

This happened to a friend after she took Cipro. It damaged her autonomic nervous system and her vagus nerve. She was throwing up her food for a few weeks. It went away eventually. Cipro really is poison.

Peppermint can also relax your eso sphincter, which is why it's bad for reflux

I have been suffering this for about 4 years. It closes, even water will not move through. The preasure causes unbelievable pain.
The strangest thing about this is I'm noticing that it happens now oy when I think about it before swallowing. I know how this sounds, but it is true. If I went for water right now concerned it may happen, IT WILL every time. However, never once has it happened while drinking or eating while dining out, or working with the animals, or what ever. Had to stop video to post this. Now...
Back to your great videos.
Peace
