Electric vehicles are not greener on the planet.
Copper mining is increasing which equals more emissions.
Lithium batteries are dangerous and not environment friendly.
Does a business have the finance to pay employees for an hour while the vehicle is charged.
Finally the power grid can't cope with normal domestic use.
One fact, the UK has had to have a cable from Europe via the English channel,so Europe can give the UK extra electricity to cope with electric cars.
A dynamo system put into electric cars would mean, electric cars could charge themselves with kinetic energy 🙏
It's all a wrought

Fuel efficiency standards are only a part of the equation. The big issue is emissions controls which are hurting consumers and the environment. You cannot consider the cost of these policies without looking at the downstream costs which are enormous and do much to mitigate any benefits from these systems. Yes, efficient vehicles are required and they are made if consumers demand them, but emissions compliance is hurting efficiency spectacularly. You may improve emissions to some degree but you create far more in the making of the equipment, the mining of resources for the creations of it and the sheer cost to I consumers in damage to engines shortened equipment life, required repairs and so on. Moreover they decrease efficiency which means you burn more fossil fuels than necessary.
The cost in terms of all of the ancillary processes to developed, manufacture and implement, not to mention the down stream costs to damage to vehicles, shortened engine lifespan, etc all have a cost that is rarely if ever counted by people espousing the value of these things.
Australia has a huge land mass and a small population, there is no real benefit to so introducing what is ultimately costly environmental policies that are more about being seen than doing. Cleaning up emissions isn’t a zero sum game, in fact all it does is shifts where emissions come from and overall increases them.
Manufacturers aren’t sending you dirty cars. They include emissions gear in them and do so because they offset the development cost from abroad.

how are people going to build cars eco friendly when the material for EVs are the same as Gass cars, how is the green energy. we still have to make parts and replace them
