Did I Just Lose us $500...? We've been sitting on this game for a bit because 1, we didn't know if it was real on a quick check and 2... well we just kind of forgot we had it. So today we open it to find out if it's resealed or not. We love Pat's channels, especially over on @ShortPocketMonster and decided to see if we should open this game or keep it sealed 😅

Definitely a reseal. When you reseal games with that type of plastic and use a heating gun, it gets hard like that. You can tell from the sound. That’s not normal.

It's a real reseal. The thing is, some some stores like sears and kbtoys had sealers from Nintendo to seal games because they had exclusive rights, so Nintendo sends them unsealed products. They add their stuff inside and then seal it. Also, people do not realise anyone can buy a sealer. Back in the 90s, some big-name retailers had the correct sealers to reseal items they got where the seal was damaged from people

I get the whole complete in box thing being worth a bunch more money, but the crazy value for sealed games that can't even be played is silly to me.

Ok so I used to work for a small game publisher about 25 years ago , for what ever reason we needed to send retailers games from our office from time to time . A few times we had them on hand and none were wrapped and I actually shrink wrapped them myself . Maybe this one is like that , where for what ever reason , it wasn’t factory wrapped.

I was under the impression that all new snes game came with a little plastic sleeve to close the bottom of the cartridge when unused. This one didn't.

It’s a reseal. It has to have the H seam on it. I have a copy of Super Mario World I bought for 18 dollars in 2017. I did my research. I got the game graded and got a 9.4 grade. Also in NES they have the H seam because I have Yoshi’s Cookie sealed and has the H seam on it

Reseal. The sticker on the actual box is red flag #1. The wrap is #2. At the end of the video you will see where the original wrap was cut by the knife. Long line down the of the box #3

The SNES plastic they used to seal them with felt "stretchy" when you took them off. It definitely looks like a reseal. The plastic sounds hard.

Reseal; I used to work at a used game store and we offered to shrink wrap/seal games people bought with cases as a gift wrapping thing. Watching this video makes me understand why, it’s so simple to reseal and artificially boost the value.

It's a reseal. You would not see a sticker on the box underneath the actual seal. How the seal bunches up on the corners is also really shoddy looking.
