American here. We use the "Let's Go" variant, and not for any one sport in particular. It's just kind of a generic "sports chant"

German here... Saw the rhythm, knew it was about football.

Common in US baseball games. Also heard in the song "Centerfield" by John Fogarty.

American here, this is also a nearly universally recognized rhythm for our football as well (and most other sports). Just without the England bit. Often replaced with chanting "Let's Go" or some other more team specific chant, but is also often done without any vocal chanting; it can be replaced with stomps or claps on beat

Danish here. We use The same rhythm. We use it for football and handball, mostly. The “England” part of course gets replaced with “Danmark”

Definitely heard it with 'England' replaced by team names/nicknames here in Scotland - the two that immediately come to mind are 'Celtic' and 'Hibees'.

In Aussie our teachers would do that to get everyone’s attention

Most ppl can’t resist the urge to clap the last two beats so it mostly works

The Pokémon Sword and Shield gym leader theme (which is based off of the UK) uses this rhythm!

Yeah, we FC Barcelona fans also use this rhythm and end it with "Barça!"

Definitely related to soccer in Spain. Different teams would put different lyrics in the chant to align to the rhythm, or sometimes just end it with "O-É" (kind of Spanish equivalent to "hey-ho")

I'm specifically from the American city of Buffalo, New York, and the first measure of that rhythm is widely known here as the "Let's Go Buffalo" chant. It's also often used in elementary school classrooms as a way to settle down noisy schoolchildren at the start of class.

We actually use this in France too but we sing “Paris” on the last notes. As a Parisian myself and a PSG supporter, I didn’t know it was used in England.

It's very common in Israel too, football fans honk their cars to it after games. Maybe after basketball games too. It's also honked, usually the first half, when a driver goes by a demonstration and wants to express support (if anyone wonders, it's illegal to honk unless it's a life threatening situation, but no one gives a damn). I don't go to games but they use it there too, but to the best of my knowledge it's not connected to a specific text.
