More of an animator's technique than a game dev secret, but that's a pretty good looking attack.
Could've mentioned that the smear is also where the hitbox is going to be so it will also incredibly increase the move's readability instead of making players go "what the heck hit me?".
Would've been funny if you showed the old animation in-engine and Isadora getting hit by what is basically an invisible attack.

A little tip for bad animators: you really don't need much to create the illusion of movement. A smear can literally be just a straight up line. You just have to show where the thing went and from where.
You don't fancy smears to make a good illusion of movement. Yes, good smears look hella good, but they aren't necessary.

Yooo! I think this is the first look we get into the Witch Doctor sprite! At least since the original game jam. She looks super cool! Your artist(s) are really great, their work is consistently excellent
I love the huge wide hat, itās a classic to make a cool silhouette, and the feather as well as tassels add a more unique look from the classic witch/plague doctor aesthetic. I really like the white mask, gloves and pants, first of all it adds contrast to make the individual parts easely readable and distinct, but it also gives me the vibe that maybe this is a character that once was pure but has been corrupted, which is why their core is white but theyāre surrounded in dark clothing? Iām mainly basing this theory on the name ācorruptedā forest which iirc is her map, and the fact that she probably represents illness, which kinda implies that a āhealthyā state once existed.
Also I gotta say, the crow animation for that teleportation thing just looks SICK (no pun intended)
Edit : the more I look the cooler it gets. I just realised the little flasks on her belt kinda jiggle around when she moves. Those details add so much life to her movement, when it wouldāve been so easy to make them completely static
