Game Freak knows they screwed up by making a city instead of an entire region. Therefore, to ensure sales, they decided to announce the DLC in the hopes of boosting sales and not making it a flop. In my opinion, things are going from bad to worse.

Then stop being a Slobtendo NPC and start boycotting them for their predatory, scammy and Customer unfriendly tactics.
They only still do that bc you NPCs keep buying. Wait 1-3 years and the Games will cost 90-100€ easily.
Nintendo doesnt exist anymore, Slobtendo is what remains.
