Been waiting for this review. I haven’t seen any worthy review on this tv to date. I want to figure out if it’s worth consideration for my folks who use Roku for all their sets. My mom turns 80 soon so simple is best however I doubt I could recommend this over the Sony X90L(or Hysense U8N & TCL QM8) w/ a Roku attached unless it’s close with superior reflection handling. They have a bright living room and will watch tv during the day sometimes. The Samsung s95D would probably be best for their use case but too expensive. They are currently using a top of line 55” Samsung LCD from like 2010 so they likely will be impressed with any decent set if the screen isn’t a mirror.

After Roku messed up a firmware update that forced motion smoothing on for all inputs, (and I have heard nothing about them fixing it...) they do not have the benefit of the doubt anymore. Why buy a Roku Pro TV if the only viable solution is to avoid ever connecting it to the internet? Which is what you should probably do with any smart TV anyways, but at least you're not buying those to have the Roku brand in the first place.

With all your TV unboxing experience, do you think people underestimate the durability of TVs? Whenever I get a new TV (usually an LG OLED), I am always worried about the thin part of the TV bending while I’m handling it
