Okay somehow I totally fucking missed the point of the crystal and k thought it was supposed to be like a gift to try and appeal to Blitzø or something (which is way out of Stolas’s character now that I think about it) but I never realised he was trying to give Blitzø the option to free himself from what he might see as an obligation instead of something to get joy from.

Okay, this is why I love Helluva Boss. And it’s why I hate that people have to make a lot of valid criticisms too because the flaws can be too noticeable, but stuff like this video show the true passion behind this whole show.

Blitzø tried to do the responsible thing and maybe not get in trouble when both Stolas' Grimoire AND Daughter just GTFO... also he needed help to get the book back for his own business and knew Stolas could get to the human world on his own power since Truth Seekers...so some self serving might have been involved.
There is a lot less flirting from Stolas too, who is focused on his baby girl Via, and the hectic nature of everything else with the humans keeps them on business, not pleasure, so it probably is why Stolas and Blitzø can work. both guys care immensely for their daughters, so it is maybe a more comfortable facet that isn't full of rampant demon horniness.

Honestly, I'm not exactly on board with Blitz hooking up with Stolas. Sure Stolas likes him NOW but prior to that he basically treated Blitz as little more than a kinky hook up, and often made more than a few advances Blitz clearly wasn't comfortable with and made no secret he was only doing this to keep his business afloat.
If Stolas was interested in a real relationship he should've tried getting to know Blitz as a friend and slowly try to make their relationship more than a simple business transaction.

Honestly I think Stolas should just break up and move on. 1. I would rather pair Blitz with a human chick 2. Blitz does not look the type to be interested in marriage anyway.
3. Maybe at some point Stolas falls for someone else better

Also there's the issue of well age. Stolas as a Goetia is likely immortal in the sense he stops aging past a certain point while Blitz as an Imp has a life span similar to a human, even if they hooked up Blitz would eventually die of old age and Stolas would be back to square one.

Hiding big story plots in things that aren't the main product is kinda annoying for fans of the show. Though this is on the main channel so I can't be too critical, but why not show it in an episode where this plays? Ooh well.
Atleast it's not Kingdom Hearts where important lore bits were giving at a random concert in Japan.
If it's important to understand the story, put in the main product. Is it something that explains a small detail? You can dedicate a side project to it. For example Striker's backstory, we don't need to see an episode dedicated to it, but a song or a 3 min short? Why not!

Please Vivziepop, don't give me false hope. I know she's not gonna bring back the angst, drama and complications to Stolas and Blitzo's relationship. This is just teasing me with what I missed for so long and know I'm never going to get again.

The interesting/anxious thing about all this buildup to the Ozmodeus crystal.
Is the uncertainty of Blitzo’s reaction to it. After all, he’s getting this crystal vicariously through him helping and reconciling with Fizaroli.
Essentially bringing what’s about to happen on himself.
Now you think that obtaining this crystal would be a good thing for him. he has huge abandonment issues.
So Stolas is kind of justified to be worried about what Blitzo’s reaction is going to be.
Will he, see it as a genuine sign of a relationship that he could have with Stolas.
Or will he see it as Stolas trying to find a way to just break all contact with him and get his book back.
It’s really hard to tell what reaction Blitzo so is going to have with this Crystal. Not helped by the fact that this is something that has been building up in this entire season.
Not helped by the fact that they keeps being hints of Stolas about to die.
Which will be devastating to Blitzo if he’s any way connected to how it happens.
(not help by the fact that there were a lot of people who really really do not want Stolas to die)
