I’m 28, and I grew up watching this man and Stephen Colbert after school on Comedy Central. I hope Stewart knows how many young Americans like me found an interest in politics through him. His comedic ability to point out irony in politics and feign shock was always so funny to me and made it easy to understand how crazy our society is. He’s a one of a kind and arguably the best political pundit on TV. I’ll forever owe Stewart.

its a diversion tactic. It is happening here in the uk too. They try and get the public worked up on almost meaningless issues, so that the government isn't held to account over people being paid badly, the national health service not being financed properly etc etc.
