The problem with just letting them pass you is that they’re just gonna push traffic back even further . If they were merging from the get go like the signs say a mile back. We wouldn’t have a problem just saying lol

Nah traffic moves much quicker when the closing lane is being held up instead of everyone waiting to merge at the very last minute. That’s actually more dangerous.

This is a problem in California. All the cars try to cut in last minute and all does is hold traffic up even more. I never do it but if I see another trucker doing it I’ll help out because the signs says the lane ends and the cars just want to get in front of a truck. Instead of being decent human beings and waiting like the majority. People are so selfish. You’re getting in a few seconds faster by holding everyone else up even longer. True definition of a narcissist.

You right it's not that serious. The lane is closing ahead correct. If we let them pass and they pile up slows traffic further down. Then as you knowing so much about trucking you know we run off a clock. Verses a lot of cars are clearly not at work as we are. I myself will continue to as I see fit. If you want to be a dick and just jump in front of us just to come to a stop. Well I'm definitely going to make it to where you have to stop behind me.

Most of the backed up traffic jams are truckers who hold up traffic 2 miles back from the cars in front of them. Keep it tight and keep it moving. And yes im a trucker and nothing annoys me more than to see a mile between the two trucks riding side by side, and nothing in front of them. Ignorance

I’ve witnessed truckers swerve from right to left while riding the middle lane in this type of scenario just to keep vehicles from passing. It’s ridiculous!
