i feel like the reason people don't like rey is because she's great at everything from the moment we meet her. luke spends the first two movies getting his ass kicked, and only destroys the death star with the help of han and obiwans ghost. its kind of a cliche at this point but i feel it bears repeating, that she feels like a self insert character in a fan fiction. trilogy should have focused more on kylo or finn because i think they were more interesting characters
