The only frustration that I have with "most" romance animes is that most MCs are either allergic to girls (would get panic attacks at the mere sight of them/ from accidentally touching their hands) OR the MCs so dense he can't even read the room.

As a manga reader, I have met the exact opposite problem while reading Horimiya. While in anime, they had done the thing in 7th episode out 13, in manga it happened at the 37th chapter out of 131. Their relationship barely developed since then, so author started to focus on the background characters' relationships so much so you couldn't even remember why is the manga called "Horimiya". Glad that they made the decision to cut half of the manga's content to then make it into the Horimiya:Piece so that MCs' relationship didn't feel so rushed, because it definitely did in manga

I think it's awesome that Hori and Miyamura are not the only one with huge character development. All of the friends have at least a little bit of side story and most of them also have an interesting story about their love life and growing from experience. Because of this none the characters feel like just a random person, all of them have a deep personality.

Theres an anime called "tonikawa over the moon for you" its also a romance anime where the two mcs get married in the first episode and you watch hiw their love progresses even having a fake wedding in the end if season 2 and im pretty sure there are gonna be more seasons in the future but after you watch the 2nd season theres a special one where the mc becomes a teacher so yeah highly recommend it
