I thought I was doing well for my age (61) but now that I don’t go to the gym at all & my main source of exercise is walking 10-15,000 steps a day, I’ve found my knees do become sore & swollen very easily if I try any other form of exercise.!
Not even 8 years ago I held a gym membership & went 5 days a week doing weight classes, Zumba & yoga alternatively. I was very fit & supple on a deep level & really want to get back into yoga particularly to begin with to reclaim some of that strength I’ve lost.
After searching long & hard I’ve chosen you. I know I will need to start all over again from scratch as I can’t even sit cross legged, I’m so stiff in the hips &
Worried my sciatica will return.
What I want to ask is can yoga help my knees & hips to return to something like they used to be ?
I want to ensure suppleness at least into my old age……….

I’ve been doing daily yoga for almost five years now and I am still using all of these modifications heavily (my hamstrings are just very stiff and short). So if you are not a beginner anymore, but you still need these modifications: that is okay too, well done for listening to your body!❤️
