I feel like you can classify command as code, through it's closer to something like assembly than your regular c, rust or python in it's syntax/presentation. It is fully turring complete after all, with people writing emulators in it (or even having converters to run wasm in commands)

What do you mean "only commands" as if you need more?
Because commands is 50× better than redstone, if you put in the effort, and is the most powerful form of controlling the very fabric of Minecraft itself. It's the reality warper of Minecraft.
You can do basically anything with them. You just need time, effort, and knowledge.
Which is exactly the same thing you need for coding and redstoning. Or anything at all actually.
