ACL how does the tear happens?

The anterior cruciate ligament :
1. is one of the four ligaments in the knee that provides stabilization for the knee joint.
2. Torn ACLs are a common knee injury.
3. An ACL tear or sprain occurs with a sudden change in direction or pivot against a locked knee.
4. A pop, followed by pain and swelling of the knee are the most common symptoms of an ACL tear.
5. Women are more likely to tear their ACL because of differences in anatomy and muscle function.

Symptoms of an ACL tear :
1. Popping sensation in your knee.
2. Severe pain.
3. Immediate swelling.
4. Decreased ability to move the knee.
5. Inability to put weight on the injured leg.

What are the causes of injury ACL injury :
1. usually a sports related injury, it can also happen with any kind of blunt trauma to your leg or knee.
2. It could also happen to you from a slip or fall if your leg moves the wrong way.

There are several ways to harm it ACL injury :
1. Quickly pivoting with your foot.
2. planted.
3. Suddenly stopping.
4. Quick changes in direction.
5. Landing from a jump awkwardly.

Treatment anterior cruciate ligament :
1. Treatment goals are to return the patient to his or her preinjury level of function.
2. Arthroscopic surgery may be required to reconstruct the torn ligament.
3. It may take six to nine months to return to normal activity after an ACL injury.
