Buying up all the houses is no different than buying all the food or water. Can you imagine if Walmart worked with others to buy the whole food supply and charge 20$ for a loaf of bread? That's housing in a nutshell right now πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Great news!!! Healthcare and many other industries are already in corporate hands, dont let housing fall into corporations, people who rent never build equity and net worth

I'm completely on board. House flippers and mass buyers have ruined the market for FHA buyers.

Less than 2% of residential homes are owned by investors that have 10 or more residences. But that is growing, since 25% of homes in 2023 were being bought by investors.

Thank god. Where im at they just finished building 49 duplexes, perfect small homes for families and i found out a private corporation bought all of them immediately for renting purposes. Robbing new or lower income families from owning their own houses.

At some point, capital gains has to be treated likes regular earned income. That would get lot of wallstreet off main street. The Tax system also has to be changed so that the 1% pay taxes at the same rate as the median income earner.

This will just force the price of renting even higher

The answer is to incentivize builders to build small high quality starter homes. Then people can have a chance of building equity and paying it off. But of course municipalities like big mcmansions so they can suck up property taxes.
