It’s crazy to me that a lady who is blind can pick up after their pet but my neighbors who can see perfectly fine can’t 🤦

There's actually laws in quite a few places that people with service dog's for disabilities like blindness are legally allowed to leave it, but seeing you pick it up regardless is absolutely fantastic!

I once came across a very blind lady with her dog, the area was wet and a bit muddy, and there was a lot of dark coloured leaves on the grass, I think the dog had moved away too quickly so she’d not had a chance to use whatever technique, the dark leaves made it impossible for her (limited vision) to see where the poop was and she was trying to see it and feeling around.
I asked if she wanted help, she was upset and stressed and excepted my help.
She kept apologising and thanking me, but I reassured her it was fine, I was happy to help and understood.
I’m physically disabled, and although not blind have very poor vision so need very thick glasses, so understood her problems.
I’ve also got a few friends with various disabilities so it’s not uncommon for us to trade help lol
I also have family dogs so some dog poop wasn’t a problem for me!
I see her around every now and again and al says say hi!
