You sure about using mini guns? Those already have somewhat low armor penetration and against centipede armor I can't imagine they'd be very effective.

Praise the Omnissiah! I usually turn off mechanoids though. They're a pain in the ass and I'd rather have to worry about human threats.

Best counter for centipede is psychic insanity lance, put it on every colonist, stock up on any u can find, always buy any u can see, it is definitely worth it 👍👍

Only took me around 20 wood traps to take it down and then its buddies nearly wiped out my settlement early game. I used a giant kill box to take out an ancient danger that was center of the map so i could expand my base. I use the giant chamber as a graveyard now.

It doesn't matter
No mech can survive a colonist with archotech arms and legs, a legendary plasteel longsword, masterwork shield and full plasteel armor

Electro hammers or monoswords are good.
If you have none of that use stone walls for defense and shoot them in the back if possible.
If you have no tech at all, use stone Clubs and approach behind walls to reduce the time they can one hit you.
