First of all the term 'drug' is misjudged and misused. Drug is any xenobiotic that is capable of modifying a biological response.
So all medicines antibiotics antiallergics painkillers-all are drugs.
And for the addictive compounds we should use the term narcotics as they have addictive properties ie narcosis.

With due respect, being a psychiatrist, I can tell u , u don't know either cocaine or addiction, u r underestimating cocaine addiction which is wayyyy tooo dangerous than sugar and diabetes. Diabetes is a hereditary disease, even if u don't consume sugar in adulthood, still can get diabetes after 40s
