Corsets were not restrictive, they were literally a foundational support garment that distributed the weight of the skirt equally around the body, worn by every class of women, including working class women who had physically demanding jobs. Would you be calling a bra restrictive?

The corset part is ridiculous, she was wearing one under her dress and they weren't "restrictive" like you say, it was just an undergarment.
