I'm not sure what the rules are in the USA but in the EU trucks are limited to 80 Km/h which is about 50mph

I used to be an on site mechanic for OD a very good amount of their trucks are city trucks and are governed at 55 and way underpowered. Only highway trucks are governed at 70 which still leaves the trucks very underpowered. And there aren't many of them.
