Bladesingers who first appeared in 2nd Ed’s The Complete Elves Handbook, were considered OP for that edition, just as Druids & Cavaliers were said to be in 1st Ed. Lesson learned here — There are unhappy campers in each edition. It’s a tradition ar this point.

A nice thing would be to give the bladesingers a spiritual blade as parte of their gimmick, a sword that the blade is made of the magical power of the wielder

I always felt that the prestige class Knights of the Weave were more like jedi then the Bladesinger .

I’m actually playing a Githzerai Psi Warrior Bladesinger Wizard for my friends game of Spelljammer. Only thing is I misread Mordenkaine’s Tomb of Foes and thought the Githyanki and Githzerai names were the same 😅 but I made it so that his dad was a Githyanki Pirate and his mom of a Githzerai Monk. His name is Darzak Aaryl
