Growing up, a lot of stuff was explained as "that's just the way it is," either explicitly or by implication. And that's not actually an explanation, obviously, it's really "stop asking - it doesn't matter" poorly substituting for a real answer. But all the straight cis adults had the privilege to say that and still be taken seriously.
That privilege is often a small thing in the grand scheme of the world. I'm sure most of the adults in my life took it for granted! But you sure feel like life is more uphill than average when someone's pestering you about your identity and won't take "that's just the way it is" for an answer. Gives you a sense how quietly lucky it is to be able to pull that card.

Don't know the context of this, but as someone who's bisexual, I do indeed need someone to explain heterosexuality (and homosexuality), because it's wild to me that like, y'all just automatically don't feel attraction whatsoever just because of someone's gender. I genuinely struggle to wrap my head around it, even when I know that is the majority experience of humanity ๐

Their are some why's I find don't care about.
Why is someone straight?
Why is someone gay?
Why is someone trans?
Why is someone Bi?
Why is someone asexual?
These things rise from the inside out.
Kinda like what's your favorite color. You can site qualities about the color, but you are just describing what you're seeing and saying.
Is anyone really going to stop someone and tell them. NO, YOU CAN'T HAVE THAT AS A FAVORITE COLOR!!!
The same goes for straight, Bi, Gay, Trans, Etc.
What other option do we have than to accept that a person feels _______ way.
When it comes to relationships. There isn't much room for judgment. People want what they want.
What I wonder more is why there are so many conservative people who hate the LGBTQ community.
To me, that kinda hatred is a learned behavior.
Examples
1.
If person A claims they feel a certain way about ___________. We have no ground to challenge their claim to feeling a certain way.
2.
If person A feels they would feel better if _________.
Who does it affect? If the answer is no one. We have no ground to challenge their claim to feeling a certain way.

That's actually a good point. I'm hetero but that doesn't mean I'm unconditionally attracted to all cis women. Human attraction is a lot more complex and than nuanced than that.
