I’m not Muslim so I don’t wear one. But I do everything I can to make those covering, no matter how much or little, feel comfortable. If it’s slipped I politely let her know, if I’m at work to take her to an area where she can fix it. If it’s a beautiful pattern I’ll tell her. It’s a level of commitment to her faith that I find amazing. I also watch videos like this & read the comments to educate myself more & so I can maybe educate others, mainly pointing them in a good direction to learn more, just a little. That said I’d tell them to keep going, it won’t be easy in some parts but there will be allies & it may not be who you expect.

I put it on initially because it’s easier to manage my hair with hijab on. Later on I understood why Allah said to put it on and it’s to make you more modest. However, I did get discriminated a lot after putting it on but at the same time I felt more empowered after putting it on. I was more vocal. However, it didn’t really do anything to ward off men. I still felt objectified

You will never regret giving up something for the sake of Allah.
When people look at you funny, remember the One you are obeying, the One you sacrificed your beauty and the attention of the public for, is the One Who owns every single one of them, the One Who gives them permission to breathe. The owner of the Heavens and the Earth.
Remember that you are obeying Him. And He is on your side. What greater honour is there?
Allah is the most appreciative even though He doesn't even need us, He knows how hard it is and He will reward you generously, in a way that befits the King of kings, The Most Generous. He will give you something better than what you gave up.
Thank Allah that He honoured you with the hijab amongst many others. We did Allah no favour, but He did for us.

Find your “why” and back it up. Remind yourself of that when you’re struggling.
A lot of girls struggle with the headscarf aspect of hijab (me included) if they are confused on if it’s mandatory or even part of Islam - do research on other Abrahamic faiths history with it, search for hadiths mentioning hijab, etc.
Also think of the parts of hijab you love- that could be feeling safe, being recognized by other Muslims (Receiving more Salam is one of my favorite part of hijab because before strangers didn’t know I was Muslim 💕) Also if you’re not ready to do it all at once practicing in different areas little by little can help a lot.
And don’t be dissuaded to other people- regardless of your journey!

You’re either a slave of Allah or the society. If you follow Allahs commands then no doubt you’ll receive rewards both in this world and the hereafter whereas the society will always keep you running in circles because expectations and fashion trends keep changing especially for women. ❤ Just take one step at a time and Allah will help you and make ways you’ve never imagined could open. Only the first step is hard 😊

Never give up the hijab, just because people tell you bad things about your hijab. Like “Why are you wearing it? You’re way too young!” Or “You’re not wearing the hijab properly” or “You’re covering up too much, you’re so strict!”. Never listen to them no matter how hard they try. I’m 13 and I became a hijabi this year, my family always tried to make me take off the hijab because I was too ‘young’. Either way, I never listened to them and forgot about their opinions. Wearing the hijab is only your choice, and your choice only. Nobody can ever force you to put it on or take it off because you control whether you want to wear it or not. Always seek guidance from Allah (SWT) sisters and also brothers. Inshallah everything goes your path!

First Pray to Allah to make it easy for you. Then think if the reason for not wearing hijab is more important than jannah, and more dangerous than jahannam. And most importantly even if you fail don’t give up
