i dont like sarah because she throws a fit when you dont want to possibly endanger the entire galaxy because you dont want to use a potentially dangerous solution to terrormorphs just to save a bit of time...

Sarah was my favorite companion option as she was the one I felt I could relate to the most. Both of us veterans, both with our own traumatic past, both with crushing guilt. She was relatable. But Sam, as a father, also relatable. And I’m on my first play through and reached the point where I have to pick between the two… tough spot to be in. As a father, I don’t want Cora to grow up without her dad. But I also don’t want to lose the “old me” that i see in Sarah.

I like that they made her older. Based on her background and the timelines involved, she has to be at least in her late 40's.

Sarah is a baddie. She looks good and she saw hell when she was in the navy so of course she got some cables not connected right but that's where you help her. You choose her because you want to help her and you do so by visiting Eta Cassiopeiae. The game doesn't really do much after that but you can hear how more relaxed she is after she's in love with you too.

Your journey with Sarah was the same as mine (that was my first play through, of which I got NG+ about 5 to 6 days after launch, currently on NG+ 4 or 5)
Though I just started a second character save for modding now that creation club is out.

What the developers should have done is give players the chance of choosing who to play with for the entire game. Not force players to separate from characters to do certain quests with others. If they did that I would have chosen Sarah every time because then I could have got to know her better and end up marrying her eventually..

While not a perfect character, I get the feeling that Sarah is the companion you're meant to play the game with. She seems to fits the overarching themes of the game and the story better than the others and her aesthetic matches the game world perfectly.

SPOILER ALERT:
I put the main questline on hold so I could explore my relationship more. I eventually got married to her only for the f***ing Hunter to kill her literally right after.
I stared at her dead body for literally 5 minutes realizing how attached I got to a literal video game character. And then I joined the hunter to kill the emissary.

Uhm…..Sarah is one of the few characters with pretty much a complete backstory and fleshed out personality that I can remember her by. She can be pretty nagging in the beginning, but again I’m pretty sure that’s part of her personality; she’s a tough military woman; she isn’t exactly the lovey dovey type character. Hands down she had the best side mission I’ve played so far out of the characters I’ve romanced; going to her former battlefield and finding sona was really fun:)
