No way in fucking hell the 2004 Pistons could’ve kept up with 3 pt shooting of the 2017 Warriors. Pistons were putting up around 12 3’s a game in the ‘04 playoffs. Steph was putting up 10 a game by himself in their ‘17 playoff run. Last time I checked… 3 pts was more than 2. During the finals against the Lakers, Detroit broke 100 pts ONE time. Detroit had a great defense, but they would’ve been buried by threes.

There is a fact about the modern warrior team, and that is if you can’t keep pace with their three-point game, you had no chance to win. That in a nutshell is how Steph Curry changed the game, forcing every damn team in the league to adapt to their ability to shoot the three at high volume. That Detroit team could not have kept pace with their three-point game, in fact they averaged 90 per game. You could get away with it back then in the era where clogging the lane and slowing down the pace was a good strategy, and the three-point game was nowhere near what it was today. You could not build a team like that today and have a chance to even make the playoffs. Warriors would absolutely roll them and Steph is so far superior to Chauncey it’s a joke to talk about. Add KD to the discussion and it’s a 4 game sweep average margin of victory 25

If you ask me, this Warriors team is going to be remembered for 3 things. 1) Going 73-9 and not winning the ship. 2) Being up 3-1 and choking in the finals against Bron. 3) Draymon acting like the jackass that he is and getting suspended, thus giving Bron’s team the momentum. This team in my opinion will go down in history as the biggest chokers of all time!
