I'm a new DM and have just started my first campaign. In rhe past, my group havent really enjoyed some campaigns done by others and we kept changing DM. But everyone loved my first session and now im tasked with creating a whole campaign (which to be frank, i didnt really expect to happen 😅) anyway, the point is, your videos are really helpful and i have a video request. I dont want to sound pushy or anything but it would really help. I was wondering if u could do a video on how to create a puzzle that cant just be solved with a spel

I just begged my dm to let me start with a pet. In all fairness, the pet of choice was under cr 1/8, was thematic, and I did not have spells like speak with animals or animal handling proficiency. So I was allowed. Guess what? We have a ranger (speak with animals and beast sense) and a firbolg (can be understood by animals even if they can’t understand back). Oh! And I’m a blood cleric which means seeing through the eyes of my pet is also available to me and, later, controlling it directly. Yup, my dm thinks it’s brilliant but I was told he didn’t realize what I would do beyond the thematic part. Anyway! It’s been a great scout even though I gave it the fun personality of being a jerk and demanding shiny things as payment. But! Lol, anyone who can speak with the raven is fully able to be fascinating to the raven to get an advantage, which dm approved. I think the dm finds it fun to play the raven.
