This was an edit I never would’ve expected from anyone because The Abzorbaloff is a character I didn’t think people liked enough to edit Peter Kay does a do a great job with a bit of a meh script it’s episodes like Love and Monsters that really are just fun silly episodes to watch and it’s one of the many many many examples of Doctor Who being campy and silly which it does best I think it’s great that a kid that won a Blue Peter contest had to have his own designed alien in the show that would’ve made his whole childhood regardless of some of the negativity around the episode that kid got to have his Doctor Who OC actually get put into the show and that is a major win for him but I think some designs don’t translate well into live action still though he gets to live his life having created something in Doctor Who how many kids could’ve said that and it actually be true sometimes I forget Love and Monsters was written by RTD not sure why but it’s a very silly and campy episode which I do want more of because I love Doctor Who when it’s campy and silly and I think over time people can come to dislike Love and Monsters less and less it’s still definitely a weird episode but the whole show is weird so it fits right in
