To expand upon my first question, how can we be subject to destiny while also having the God-given gift of free will? I am not saying we should abandon this notion of an individual's destiny being pre determined at birth, but how is this reconcilable when we take free will into account?

Destiny, can't this term be interchanged with fate? I thought that the great news of Hermeticism was that through Magick we can transcend fate? How does one reconcile these two ideologies?
