Here is a trending recipe of Kerala Paal Puttu.
Puttu is a traditional steamed ground rice breakfast with scraped coconut. Usually it is made by mixing ground rice, salt and water, adding coconut scrapings and steaming the mix in a cylinder shaped Puttu maker and steam cooking for about 10 minutes.
Ingredients
putt rice powder 1 cup
carrot shredded 1/2 cup
almond powder 1/4 cop
cardamom powder 1/ 8 tspn
salt 1/8 tspn
coconut milk / milk /water 1 cup
Without Puttu maker also you can prepare this, by layering the mix on the steamer tray and steaming for 10 mins.
My great grandmother used to prepare the rice mix using coconut milk.
Carrot Puttu is another variation, in which grated carrot is added to the basic Puttu Rice mix.
I further modified the recipe for my family by adding almonds and carrots for extra protein and fiber and little cardamom for flavor.

We used to prepare milk Puttu since my great grandmother's time.
