People who movd their door to Belgium in this town receive their water from Netherlands, their electricity from Belgium and their gas from Netherlands. Their cable tv from Belgium. Belgium has no road tax and the health insurance is 12 times cheaper than in the Netherlands and usually paid for by the employer. But Belgium's internet and tv is 2 to 3 times more expensive than in the Netherlands. Tax system is usually more favorable in Belgium, but Belgium is close to being a failed state. Netherlands is more organized and reliable, dispite their government has been using systematic institutional racism to scrutinize peoples taxes. In the Netherlands, an agreement is an agreement, in Belgium people are less reliable and won't show up for appointments, won't notify you when they cancel. In Belgium there is more police and they are more strict/rigid with applying the laws. You can't leave this town without having your number plate scanned a couple of times... yet the EU calls this "free movement". There are pros and cons to each country.
