Professionally trained dancer here! I am American Aboriginal, and I grew up, being teased, for my unusual looks, and hippy body. My lack of self esteem, followed me all the way to a adulthood. But, when I joined a burlesque, and fire performance team, I felt my self love start to blossom. All bodies, are burlesque bodies! I hope to join again, soon, because nothing will spice up one's confidence, like fire dancing, and being sassy, while everyone cheers you on! Like ALL my fears, of being watched, and judged, seem to slip away, when on the stage.
