Holy...! I remember bolting to the living room to catch this commercial the second I heard the guitar. I was a GI Joe kid who thought it was the coolest, most amazing thing to ever be put to film and wished it was feature length. My first step into the world of Van Halen!

Look for yourself at around the same time Konami used Sammy Hagars Can't Drive 55 song for their Ridge Racer 4 videogame TV commercial . He never mentioned this in his book even though he crucified the Halen Bros for selling songs for TV commercials . Ed said either someone would make a cover version of his song and not get paid OR let them just pay him to use his actual song .

Always preferred this version to the original as I was a much bigger fan of Van Halen than The Kinks.

I believe Van Halen came close at one time to playing the superbowl. Cant remember the details of that. I know they wanted to. I know they were really trying to get them on after hooking back up with Dave i 2007.. Again i say this. Im not remembering every detail. If anyone else knows any of the facts. Please Share!
