@007toft007 In modern Norwegian the variant 'toft' isn't an accepted word in neither of the two official, Norwegian written languages. But in Old Norse, from which the Norwegian language originates, 'toft', written then as 'topt' (same pronounciation), was a noun and meant something like 'a place of a house'. This word has now survived as the nouns 'tomt' and 'tuft', which bear pretty much the same meaning. However placenames are written as 'Toft' out of tradition . ^-^

@stefpatras No, it's not close to the Oslo dialect by any means. I actually speak this dialect since I'm from the same region as the guys in the video, sort of in the middle of Norway.
If you're learning to read "bokmål", then I'd suggest you listen to people who speak/sing kinda "bokmål"-ish. I'll send ya a message with names of some Norwegian bands if you're still interested. :P
