Video footage shows the unusual sight of a flying object over a town in Cornwall.
The large circular device attached to a helicopter left onlookers baffled.
The object was actually a sensor that measures the natural electrical conductivity of the Earth’s surface and subsurface - and could be spotted again in the coming days.

I lived in Falmouth at some time within the last 15 years . One night I looked up and saw a shooting star- not ultra fast speed , just a solid pace like you might expect for a shooting star that lasts roughly a second or two , it traveled straight for probably a second or so, and then started to cleanly turn and I think perhaps formed the shape of one end of a pill or paper clip- I like to think I saw it begin the path completely parallel to the the original direction - thus forming a paperclip shape - but I think I IMMEDiATELY went back inside probably before the curve in direction was done.
For my approximation of a second of time- this wasn’t just an curving trajectory- in a straight line over a second it probably looked like a whole side of a paperclip with the curve -
I may remember wrong and maybe the curve didn’t go back parallel toward the exact direction it came- because I got inside immediately, but what I’m saying is it traveled straight a long distance for a star (miles?) and THEN change direction

Also on the topic has anyone ever heard of a ufo like a murmuration of birds at night- we saw something that seemed imperceptible but definitely displaced the night sky against it- it seemed blurry and motion wise like a tumbleweed and so I assumed a murmuration of birds, seemingly within a hundred feet or so , approximately felt about the size of very small car like a smart car or beetle, it passed on our right at what felt about a hundred feet away at 90 degree angle from the ground, within about two seconds it was in front of us a hundred or so feet away and then it seemed to vanish over the city in the distance - nothing perceptible- no lights, but just… like a blur against the night sky. It seemed to go from a hundred feet in front of us to the horizon in a second .
