I've had so many people say to me, " why aren't you dating anyone?" And I always have to awkwardly just shrug and smile when in reality I want to scream, "statistically disabled people are not the first choice!" It's irritating seeing your own value and being confident in who you are as a disabled person to just have everyone else overlook that because "you're too much work" or "sure you have value, but not to me personally". I feel like I'm constantly having to prove my value to everyone else while also trying to convince myself to stop because I dont want to be with someone who doesn't see my value without me pointing it out.

Also, I constantly make jokes about the accessible parking or even accessible seating at the theatre. I think it's funny to see their reaction to me saying, "disabled perk" while handing them the parking badge.

When I was in high school (Hanau-High in Germany by Hanau-1989), I had a girlfriend with CP. It was the best relationship of my life! Even though the other kids kept bullying, I loved this girl!!! I didn’t make any differences in having a disability or not. Too bad we couldn’t stay in touch… I used to be a real problem-child and fucked up one day… it wasn’t what I wanted to do but as a kid, you sometimes forget to use your brain 😢.

Since 2002, I now have a disability of my own. My brother and I got run over by a car while riding a motorcycle. We are both paralyzed from the chest down.

These past 22 years have been pretty rough and somewhat strange. People don’t really recognize you as a „normal“ human cause of your disability 🤯 I never experienced it like that as a teenager and I’m shocked that some people really make you feel unworthy or just bad because of something you have no control over.

Stay strong and humble 🤗 I love your video

Beautiful young lady spreading her message and sharing her life with the world.
I wish only the best for you and pray that God blesses you with someone that appreciates what a treasure you are.
Whoever you end up with will be getting a ray of sunshine. Your beautiful smile and festive personality are amazing.
God bless you, young lady. May you get all that you wish for in life. And may you continue blessing others by sharing your story.

I so remember that video I loved it and actually love being part Chelsea’s and scoots journey, Not only is she a very gorgeous woman but her spirit, her personality and her passion for life are so very much attractive and whomever she allows at her side and in her heart and life will be a very blessed man and will be luckier than any lottery winner or winning lottery ticket…Chelsea’s Smile is so contagious and beautifully amazingly disarming!!!!

I think you a such a wonderful person, and when I see your videos they help so much. I’m legally blind and can never drive due to the damage done to me. And have been told on more than several occasion that, I shouldn’t try to date cuz I’m a bother. But when I see you and how strong and wonderful you are, it gives me hope

Being honest is the right way. It takes courage no matter what the circumstances. The fact that you were honest about your prior omission should be a wake-up call to everone hiding or evading a truth about themselves in any type of interaction.
Once again, you lead by example. You are wonderful! Celebrate you 🎉 ( if you are interested in a relationship, don't take second best. You deserve an A#1 guy. They would be lucky to be your SO)
