Totally agree! Our best excursion was in Ketchikan with Island Wings Air Service. I contacted the company, since Princess did not offer the Misty Fjord flying excursion this time around (we have been to Alaska twice already). Michelle, the owner, landed on a lake and we were able to walk on land and spent one full hour by the lake. It was just spectacular.

True. I got the cheapest cabins 2000 aud for 7 nights. Doing 2 cruises back to back. Will end up seeing , Glaciers. Tracey arm fjord. Inside passage. Juneau x2, skagway, ketchikan x2. Icystraight point. Prince rupert.

50/50 on your viewpoint but well appreciated. My wife & I went on our first Alaska cruise and spent a total of $800 and had a blast. Saw the glaciers, port visits were great, shopping, eating, etc. The shore excursions can get you so do your research before dropping some money on it.

Yeah, like I'm going to get off the cruise and get on a boat again or get on a plane when it took me 6 hours to get there. Nope. Going to the Glacier via bus and getting some good food around the ports. Then back to the ship and hitting up the casino.
