I am Vietnamese, i can tell Vietnamese humor is about taking a negatives things and turn it around, make joke about it. So you often see them complain ab shit and instantly make joke about it, or make joke ab other problems. Thatâs how they keep the mentality positive and moving forward. Even the shittiest situation like war, everyone dying and stuff, they still make a joke about it and overcome the situation.

Iâm filo and my bestfriend is Viet. She once invited me to her cousins 40th birthday and I took some photos for fun in the event. Now her whole clan treats me like family. Theyâre a big family. All the chis and anhs are super cool, they look after you. The food slaps and I always am guaranteed to go home so drunk that I have to call in sick the next day. These lot can drink for days. Did I mention thatâs only her fatherâs side?

One of my closest friends is vietnamese from Saigon. He's a chef (amazing) in Austin Texas. He was on Andrew Zimmerman food TV show about 7 years ago. We have a lot of love and respect for each other and for the others families. We get on the phone and before we know it an hour has passed. He is hilarious and most of all he has a good heart. I've never seen him wear black shirts but he does wear a gold chain. If you're in Austin Texas stop by the B's Kitchen and tell him Anthony sent you. đ

You guys are super funny, and yes I am 3rd generation Asian. I live is Hawaii and my mechanic is from Vietnam. He is the best mechanic Iâve ever come across. When he came here, he had to learn English and go to mechanics school at the same time. He never owned a car in Vietnam, but worked on boats. Not selfish and charges a fair price. He also saves cans and bottles and shares with the homeless that are collecting.

I grew up in a Vietnamese neighbourhood and they had to ban gambling in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL because the Viet kids were always squatting in a circle rolling dice or throwing cards, and getting other kids into it. These frosted bangs, Kappa wearing kids were so hood lol! Good memories
