General American is a bit different.
Ƃrяo = thorough
Ƃяq = through or threw
Tuf = tough
Ƃʌt = thought
Ћo = though
Ƃяqaqt = throughout
There are two different 'th' sounds, hence two different letters. The 'gh' in current English is superfluous most of the time and should be removed. Digraphs are efficient and proper spelling reform replaces them with a single letter.
