Is Colombia safe for first time travelers? ππ¨π΄
#shorts I believe feeling safe while traveling dictates the travel itself but sometimes itβs better to go and see it for yourself.
When I arrived in Colombia I felt like I saw the country through the bad stories I heard of it and it influenced my first impression π
But it couldnβt be further from the truth! I felt safe everywhere, ok maybe I was just extra careful in the touristy areas on Medellin but, except of that, I didnβt feel the need to β¨
Itβs definitely a challenging travel due to the rough past but the tourism board and population are working hard to change those bad memories π
Have you ever been to a place with a bad reputation that was far from the truth? π

I wanna go to Colombia this year for my birthday but my parents are unsure because they're afraid of what's going on in Colombia right now... apparently my dad thinks Colombia is dangerous... if I choose to not celebrate my birthday just because I cannot go to Colombia due to what my parents had to say, I'm gonna feel even more miserable! I don't know what else to do, and there's no Colombian celebrations in Miami in April... π’
