Apparently there is such a thing as a "British Columbia Accent," and it all comes down to how you say the word "egg."

Guess buddy has never heard the newfie accent cause honestly there isnt a typical canadian accent it totally depends on where you are and here in nova scotia there are atleast 4 different types of accents it can get a lil crazy between someone from capebreton and yarmouth here add in one more person from liverpool or bridgwater and things get funny

I’m from the west coast of BC. I and most people I know don’t pronounce egg and vague that way

I have a relative from near San Francisco who uses the IPA sound /e/ for the egg lexical set.

BC accent, your pronounciation is close but not quite. I think most here pronounce "egg" the same as in your eastern canadian "egg", and the vague word would rhyme with that. So same vowel sound in both words.

I have a British Columbia accent. I definitely do this. Also, I’ve noticed that other Canadian accents are truly less American than ours, we say “Garage” as in “Ga- roj” while they say “gaer-aj” lol

The gay accent in this instance is much more prevalent than the Canadian accent

Maybe you should've checked on the pronunciation of those words before making a video about it. That's really awful.
