Not considered an underrated coach, but you know that Claudio Ranieri's rise was even more hillarious when it comes to club management.

Guy's one of our club legends. I'm happy that I managed to witness the Thomas Schaaf era in full, but to this day I still lament the fact that I've never been able to see his era first-hand, considering I wasn't even born for most of the time he coached Bremen. Especially that CL game against Anderlecht (which happened 9 days before I was born, lol).
